of these.
The Mythological View Of
the Creation of Gems
As Bhagwan Shankar is called
the origin of Rudraksha,
there are some stories about
the evolution of gems.
The Story of Daitya Raj
Bali
In the very olden days Bali
was a brave and mighty king.
He conquered the all world.
After this, he defeated the
Indra. The king of gods, but
after all this he was a very
donator.
After the defeat of gods,
all the gods together with
Indra went to Vishnu and
prayed for safety. Vishnu
went to Bali as a dwarf
Brahman and beg only three
and step of earth as a
donation.
Proud Bali failed to
identify Vishnu and gave the
words. Vishnu made himself
enormous and took all the
three loks in
three steps
but the half-step was
remained Vishnu stepped down
that half step on the chest
of Bali.The whole body of
Bali converted in gems after
the touching of feet of Lord
Vishnu. After this Indra
hurt his Vajra on him and
broke his body in pieces. It
is said that the gems are
created by these pieces of
king Bali.
Lord Shiv Shankar hold these
gems and jewels on his
trishul and gave the
different divine powers of
planets and rashes in these
and then scattered around
the earth. In this way, the
mines of gems created.
The
Different gems are
originated by the different
body-parts of King Bali as
diamond from head, pearl
from heart and emerald from
liver.
There are some other stories
also in ancient books, but
we have not to go in
details.
