Identification of Rudraksha
The Four methods to identify of Rudraksha

(A) Laboratory Test – It is a costly procedure and is useless if the piece becomes a failure.

(B) Faith on Shopkeeper or other – Because of business of today we have no time for a deep knowledge of everything  and so we have to believe on others.

(C) Pinch the piece with a needle, if it comes fibers then it is wood the piece is O.K. otherwise chemically artificial.

The different forms such as Shivling, Trishul, Snake etc are much clear and sharp in artificial. As the fingerprints are always different in two cases same the threads are not same in two different Rudraksha.

(D) I faced to 21 faced and 1 faced and Gauri Shanker Rudraksha are always costly. Drop the piece in boiling water for one minute and after one minute keep a lid on the pot for one minute more after putting off. Then see the piece carefully, the artificial will break and solution is also visible and the natural will be same but if they have any breakage then will break more.

The cheats make the threads more or less so cleverly that it is very difficult to identify. The red golia plum coloured and polished are sold as Rudraksha mostly.

The smaller pieces are costly in same threads. 5 faced is not costly than other faced. The Rudraksha of Nepal is
costlier than of other places. 1 faced Rudraksha of Nepal is very much costly. The 1 faced Rudraksha of other places are semi-moon shaped mostly but the Nepal’s Rudraksha are round. Sometimes 2 faced or 3 faced Rudraksha if seen from top there are two or three cuts but infect this is 1 faced Rudraksha. These pieces are very much costly.

There are two qualities of Rudraksha, one is rough and they are cheap. The second quality is super and called Pathari; they are hard and smooth and are very much costly. If any Rudraksha is not in use (as in wearing or worship etc.) then it should be put or dropped in oil otherwise it breaks naturally also It is misunderstanding in general that original Rudraksha rounds between two things. The second is that the original sinks in water. Infact the fully ripe piece will sink in water and if not sank, means the piece is unripe or eaten by insects.

On the Rudraksha we can worship or chart for any god not only Lord Shiva. The result on Rudraksha-rosary is continuance and passion to wear the Rudraksha because Lord Shiva is god of gods, diet of all good powers and bad powers also.

The Rudraksha is used in three ways

1. As a medicine.

2. As a wearing.

3. Worship according to faced.

According to the colours, the Rudraksha are classified in 4 ways
1 White - Brahmin

1 Red - Kshatriya

1 Yellow - Vaishaya

1 Black - Shudra

But in practice, the brown coloured or red-yellow coloured Rudraksha are in market and they also become black after sometimes use.

It is not necessary that Rudraksha that Rudrakshas are of only upto 14 faced but onward upto 21 faced Rudrakshas are available but these are rare and so very costly. Same, 2 faced round piece is rare. The rosary of small beads is made from 5 faced and some of them may be 4 faced or 6 faced also. At last, if you are desirous to buy a Rudraksha for any purpose you have to keep in mind the reputation and faith of the buyer or shopkeeper.
